Mara Shlackman's practice focuses on litigation support and appeals, including researching and drafting motions, pleadings, appellate briefs, extraordinary writs, and memoranda to guide practitioners in the handling of specific issues that may arise in litigation, as well as attending hearings and oral argument.
Ms. Shlackman was admitted to the Florida Bar in 1993, and is also admitted to practice before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit, and the U.S. District Courts for the Southern and Middle Districts of Florida.
A 1993 honors graduate of the University of Miami School of Law, and former member of the University of Miami Law Review, Ms. Shlackman has over a decade of experience in litigation support and appeals. While her experience is principally in the areas of plaintiff's personal injury and insurance defense, Ms. Shlackman also has experience in areas that include family law, criminal law, real estate, employment law, and commercial litigation.
